While you celebrate the holiday, we will be working tirelessly to ensure our community is protected in the event of an accident or fire. We are also asking for your help.

Please follow these simple tips for a safe Independence Day celebration:

• Keep all fireworks away from children and combustable items.
• Keep fire extinguishers and water sources handy with fires and fireworks.
• Stay hydrated! Heat exhaustion can creep up on anyone, regardless of age.
• Drive sober! Your family, and ours, will thank you for it.
